Growing in Phoenix: This is a statement plant! It is dramatic and elegant by the pond or even as a houseplant. The leaves are gigantic, dark, and upward-pointing. Purple veining runs through the back of the leaves and the stems are a bold reddish-black. It will require dappled shade if grown outside in Phoenix, a bright indirect light area will be fine indoors.  In winter protect when temperatures are below 30℉.

Can be container grown, pot up according to size, note that it is a vigorous grower.
