Growing in Arizona: Mango LOVES dry heat. Phoenix is prime mango growing country, if you give them some cold protection when young, mid 30s. Afternoon shade n the summer is nice. Can be container grown. These are small trees here in our climate, winter will not allow them to get big, so do not worry about planting close to the house. Fresh mango is completely different than the junk sold at the grocery. Fiberless, sweet, different flavors to choose from, and pretty to look at. Don’t overthink it, all of the varieties are good. Less desirable type don’t sell, so we don’t bother with them. Have fun!!
