Description

Growing in Arizona: Over 300 known medicinal uses! Can be planted in full sun. Loves heat. Cold protection the first 2 winters. Feed with fish emulsion/seaweed every two weeks for the first year for optimal growth. Native to India. Can be container grown the 1st 2 years.

Azadirachta indica

Growing in Phoenix: Also known as Indian lilac. When in bloom walking under a neem tree is a delight for the senses. The air is filled with an intoxicating honey-like scent. The tree is prized for its health-giving properties and is used for a range of maladies. It is also popular with gardeners for its ability to manage unwanted pests and some diseases in plants. It grows very well in Phoenix, it handles full sun and is fast growing. Water deep and protect during the first winter. Not suitable for container growing.
