Rare Tahitian Double Gardenia. Soooooo fragrant. Great for container growing. Likes some summer shade. Gorgeous large leaf tropical foliage.

What species? 

Growing in Phoenix: Gardenia is coveted for its intoxicating scent and attractive, creamy white blooms. The petals are waxy in texture and the foliage is a deep glossy green. These are small to medium shrubs and in Phoenix need to be grown in a dappled shade location. They can be grown in-ground or container-grown, the key is an acidic planting medium. They need a pH of 5.0-6.0 and rich organic soil. They like humidity and will benefit from being near a pond or getting misted frequently. They can also be grown indoors with bright light, East or South-facing windows are best suited.
