Growing in Phoenix: Showy giant blooms are very striking on this vigorous vine. Granadilla likes to grow into the sun. Keep the root area well shaded as the aerial parts reach for the full sun. Grow on fences or a large trellis. When there is a full moon, the vine will drop large amounts of ripened fruit. Summer ripened fruit is sweeter and fall/ winter ripened fruit has a more tart flavor. Granadilla prefers nutrient-rich soil with a soil pH of around 6-6.5 and deep watering. Suitable for container culture in a pot of 15 gallons or larger. Protect below 40℉.
